You know the scene in dramas when the Doctor says,
“The patient doesn’t have much time left to live.”
That happened to me. It was surreal.
I knew my dad had cancer, stage 4 even, but I always thought he’d get better.
Then, during a regular check-up, the doctor found that his condition had worsened.
The cancer had spread to his heart. They told us to prepare, but I didn’t know what to prepare for.
Within a week, just before Ramadan, he passed away.
Al-Fatihah.

My dad passed away from illness two years ago. I know exactly how you feel. Al-fatihah to both our dads. Hugs.
