Blogging 101 is a blog series where I share on blogging tips and today post would be about 12 awesome and free responsive blogger templates. Enjoy!
People love free stuff. I know I do. As a blogger, more so.
But blogging now is more than writing a post and be done with it expecting people to flock over your writing. Your blog has to stand out in both contents and blog design. There are millions of bloggers out there so just focusing on the content is not enough to compete. So it pains me when I see bloggers who have really awesome writing but are overlooked because of the err, horrendous not so pretty blog design.
Well, I’m not expecting a very pretty Tumblr and Pinterest aesthetic level of blog design but the majority of people would prefer to look at something nice. At least, make the blog easier to read by using a responsive and mobile-friendly layout.
So here, I’m presenting to you a list of responsive and free but still awesome blog design for you to use that I handpicked from Gooyabi and Sora Templates.

I AM SO TOTALLY BEYOND AGREE about some good blogs having blog designs like from 10 years ago. It looks like it wasn’t maintained well even though they update regularly. Actually, they shouldn’t be any excuse to not have an aesthetically pleasing looking blog since these ARE free. So easy to install too. My new theme was actually trendy! Lol, I put on Essence one time and it is just so green. I change since I want to drop that slider thingy (from my old theme) because it felt less personal and to be frank, it doesn’t really help to improve the featured post traffic. Fun tips – actually since I used lots of gif in my post, it takes some toll on this slider so it loads so damn long.
Btw, your Tumblr ROCKS. I love to just stare at it sometimes and it just blows me how each word fits the picture. YOU’RE SOOOOO GOOD.
Lol. Me too! I love gifs because it adds flair into my writing.
Thank you! I haven’t updated it for weeks now lol
